Mountain View Church of the Brethren serves its neighbors with open doors, practical resources, and a commitment to safety – meeting people where they are in a spirit of Christian love.
Ministry Due to Our Area of Service
We are situated in a lower economic area, and thus one of the financially poorer churches. There are several half-way houses in our immediate proximity, with nine in our overall ministry impact area. Our ministry includes some who are under community supervision, as we are open to all who can safely attend. In response, we have one of the most robust safety policies (if not the most robust) in the area.
Children’s Ministry
We are weak in children’s ministries, but children are welcome and are safe. While we love children, families with children may find a church better suited for the needs of their children.
Food & Clothing Bank
Mountain View Church has a robust food and clothing bank. It gives out over 10,000 pounds of food a month.
Christian SafetyNet Academy
Our congregation and its leadership believed we could use our God-given resources to better serve the Lord. After much due diligence, we have launched out into developing our site to better disciple those in need of economic and life skills, all in a disciplined Christian environment.
